Refund Policy

Choontune (Pty) Ltd is committed to fair and transparent billing. This Refund Policy explains when and how refunds are issued for subscription payments processed via Paystack.

1. Digital Service Nature

Choontune provides a digital subscription service. Upon subscribing, you gain immediate access to the platform's features and AI generation capabilities. Because the Service is delivered digitally and made available immediately upon payment, refunds are subject to the conditions set out below.

Under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA), you may be entitled to a cooling-off period when purchasing goods or services via electronic transactions. Where applicable, you have 5 (five) business days from the date of your first payment to cancel and request a full refund, provided you have not substantially used the Service during that period.

2. Eligibility for Refunds

A refund may be issued in the following circumstances:

  • Cooling-off period (CPA): You request a refund within 5 business days of your first subscription payment and have generated fewer than 5 tracks during that period.
  • Duplicate charge: You were charged twice for the same subscription period due to a billing error.
  • Service unavailability: Choontune was unable to provide the Service for more than 72 consecutive hours during your billing period due to our technical failure (not including scheduled maintenance or force majeure).
  • Overcharge: You were charged an incorrect amount.

3. Non-Refundable Circumstances

Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:

  • You changed your mind after the cooling-off period has elapsed
  • You have substantially used the Service (generated tracks) during the billing period in question
  • Your account was suspended or terminated due to a violation of our Terms of Service
  • You cancelled your subscription but your billing period has not yet ended — access continues until end of period, no partial refund for unused days
  • Prorated first payments (these reflect actual days of service provided)

4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email us at support@choontune.co.za with:

  • Your registered phone number
  • The date and amount of the transaction
  • The reason for the refund request
  • Your Paystack transaction reference (if available)

We will review your request and respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds are processed via Paystack back to your original payment method and typically reflect within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

5. Chargebacks

We encourage you to contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank. Chargebacks filed without first attempting resolution through Choontune may result in the suspension of your account pending investigation. We will cooperate fully with your bank in resolving disputed transactions.
