Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your Choontune subscription at any time. This policy explains how cancellation works, what happens to your account and data, and when your access ends.

1. How to Cancel

You can cancel your subscription in two ways:

  • In-app cancellation: Go to your Account Settings → Subscription → Cancel Subscription. The cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
  • Email request: Email us at support@choontune.co.za with the subject "Cancel Subscription" and your registered phone number. We will process your cancellation within 1 business day.

2. When Does Cancellation Take Effect?

Cancellation is effective at the end of your current billing period. For example, if your billing date is the 25th and you cancel on the 10th, your subscription remains active until the 24th and you will not be charged on the 25th.

You will not receive a prorated refund for the unused portion of the current billing period (see our Refund Policy for exceptions).

3. What Happens After Cancellation

After your subscription ends:

  • Your account is automatically downgraded to the Free tier.
  • You retain access to all tracks you have already generated — they remain in your library.
  • Your monthly track limit reverts to 5 tracks per month (Free tier).
  • Features exclusive to paid tiers (stem separation, Remix Vibe, commercial rights) are no longer available.
  • Tracks generated on a paid plan that granted commercial rights retain those rights — downgrading does not retroactively affect content already generated.

4. Reactivation

You can resubscribe at any time from the Pricing page. Resubscribing creates a new subscription with a new billing date. You choose your preferred billing date at the time of resubscription, and your first payment is prorated accordingly.

5. Account Deletion

Cancelling your subscription does not delete your account. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, contact us at support@choontune.co.za with the subject "Delete Account". Account deletion is permanent and all your tracks and data will be removed within 30 days. Active subscriptions must be cancelled before account deletion is processed.

6. Cancellation Due to Breach

Choontune reserves the right to cancel or suspend your subscription without notice or refund if you materially breach our Terms of Service, including fraudulent activity, abuse of the platform, or violation of acceptable use policies.

7. Service Discontinuation

If Choontune discontinues the Service, we will provide at least 30 days' written notice via email. We will issue prorated refunds for any unused paid subscription period remaining after the discontinuation date.
